for the development of an HPV vaccine
Healthy men 16-23 are needed to participate in a nation-wide study of an investigational human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. Qualified volunteers are seen by a board certified physician and receive compensation for time and travel after each office visit.
• HPV infection is the most common sexually transmitted disease (STD) in the U.S. (At least 50 percent of sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives.)
• Condoms do not protect against HPV and there is no cure.
• HPV can lead to genital warts in men and women and is the cause of 70% of cervical cancer.
